If you’ve had a great business idea brewing, write a detailed business plan and submit it below for your chance to win a prize package valued up to $10,000. Package includes consulting services in business, accounting and management, and design services for branding and web strategy. Opportunities for financial investment are also included.
“The Edge” Business Plan Competition Official Rules
1. Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
2. How to Enter: Fill out the required* fields below. Upload business plan and any other materials or appendices.
Deadline to enter is March 15, 2012.
3. Finalist Notification and Presentation: Finalists will be selected and notified by Advisory Panel before March 23. Finalists will be required to give a formal presentation of their business plan to the Advisory Panel on April 12 in Marquette. Location for presentations is TBD.
4. Winner Notification and Prize: The winner of the competition will be announced in the May edition of U.P. Business Today. The winner will receive a prize package valued up to $10,000. Package includes consulting services from specialists in business, accounting, marketing/branding, and finance, and will aid winner by providing their expertise and experience at no charge.
5. Confidentiality Agreement: In the event the applicant is selected as a finalist, the applicant/finalist agrees to strict confidentiality, submission, presentation, and/or knowledge of the selection of the winner until such information is made available by the Advisory Panel.
